Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage will start off much like a Swedish massage except that after the initial warming of the body’s tissue, deeper pressure is utilized.  This  focused work on muscles, tendons and the surrounding fascia assists with helping to lessen muscle tension.

Swedish Massage

This modality of massage is known for its ability to encourage fluid movement to aide with circulation and to enhance an overall feeling of relaxation. Swedish massage can be customized to the client's preference to range from gentle to deep tissue work for an all over, full body relaxing massage or focusing upon a specific problem area. After discussing your concerns with the therapist, a customized plan for your massage can be developed to make the most out of your appointment.

Myofascial Release Massage

This is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. Fascia is a web like structure that covers every tissue in our bodies. During myofascial release therapy, the therapist locates myofacial areas that feel stiff and fixed instead of elastic and movable. These locations of restrictions can lead to muscle restrictions and decreased joint movements, which can lead to widespread muscle discomfort. This technique incorporates light touch to allow restrictions to relax in problem areas over a series a minutes. An entire session can be devoted to this modality or more usually is performed prior to addressing a problem area before other techniques are utilized during the appointment.
